Darron LaMonte Edwards, Sr.

Rev. Edwards is a passionate and dedicated leader with over three decades of experience in pastoral ministry, community outreach and education. An engaging speaker and educator, he earned a Bachelor of Human Resources degree from Mays Business School at Texas A & M University.
As lead pastor for United Believers Community Church in Kansas City, MO, since 2000, Rev. Edwards is known for fostering inclusive church communities, providing spiritual guidance, driving impactful initiatives, facilitating meaningful dialogue and promoting social justice.
Rev. Edwards founded Getting to the Heart of the Matter | Solutions4KC, which facilitates dialogue between local law enforcement and residents. Through the years he has provided leadership for pandemic relief programs, diversity and equity forums, and grant writing for community programs, and he has served on several national committees. Community initiatives where he provides current leadership include Community Mother’s Day Free Brunch, Ingles Elementary Adopt a School, and Angel Tree Prison Ministry. He also serves as an FBI Alumni Association member, Kauffman Foundation Education Fellow, Bible Study Team/Chaplain for the Kansas City Chiefs, and is frequently sought by the media for perspective and insight.
