Claire Hillman is the Associate General Counsel at University Health in Kansas City, where she advises executive leadership and board-facing stakeholders on complex healthcare legal, regulatory, and patient care matters. Her work is grounded in a commitment to ethical decision-making and focuses on healthcare governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and patient-centered care.

Prior to joining University Health, Claire was an attorney at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, where she represented medical device and pharmaceutical companies in complex litigation and provided regulatory and risk assessment counsel. She began her professional career in public service as a social worker with the Kansas Department for Children and Families, conducting child safety investigations and supporting children and families in crisis—experience she continues to draw on in her legal work today.

Outside of her professional work, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, as well as reading and traveling.
