Unheard voices in healthcare need you to safeguard

A personal message from Tresia Franklin

Dear CPB Friend:

I first got to know the Center for Practical Bioethics in my former position of Human Resources Director for Hallmark Cards. For more than 10 years, the Center has provided Advance Care Planning education and 24/7 availability for healthcare system navigation for Hallmark employees.

The Center offers Advance Care Planning as a wellness benefit for companies to provide to their employees. In addition to Advance Care Planning, employees can remotely access support and advocacy when they or a loved one need help charting a course forward due to serious illness or health crisis.

Advance Care Planning is just one of several programs and initiatives that further the Center’s core mission to raise and respond to ethical issues in health and healthcare. Responding to the pandemic, for example, required immediate action and program development. The Center had a real impact on equity and justice in these uncharted waters.

The Center’s Pandemic response was possible through supporters like you!

As a board member, it is gratifying and personally rewarding to provide guidance and support to Center staff members on the front line of these important issues.

Times like these have cast a bright light on the challenges and disparities in our healthcare system.

Your year-end gift to the Center will provide

a voice for those who are otherwise unheard.

Sincerely,

Tresia Franklin, CEBS, CFFA, CCP
